Team Bios

Dr. Stephen Ho

Dr. Ho completed his dental training at the University of Toronto. He then completed a hospital dental residency jointly at the The University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Chicago. Dr. Ho returned to the University of Toronto for his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesia.

Dr. Ho has focused expertise in the area of Obstructive Sleep Apnea as well as CT-based 3D treatment planning for dental implants, corrective jaw surgery and airway size determination.  He currently serves as the Director of Treatment at the Sleep and Alertness Clinic, Toronto’s largest sleep clinic.  Dr. Ho is also the visionary guiding the newly formed Airway Clinic, the first interdisciplinary clinic featuring integrated advanced non-OHIP based solutions for Obstructive Sleep Apnea uniting medicine, dentistry, TMJ physiotherapy, speech language pathology, audiology and PAP therapy.

Dr. Arina Bingliene

Dr. Arina Bingeliene is an Adult Neurologist and Sleep Specialist, with an interest in the overlap between Neurology and Sleep Disorders. She received her medical degree from Riga Stradins University in Latvia. She completed an Adult Neurology residency program, including two years of training in Pediatric Neurology in her alma mater before moving to Canada.

She previously did Clinical and Research work at the Sleep and Mood Disorders Research in 2012-2014 at Sleep and Alertness Clinic, Toronto, Canada. She then completed a 3-year Neuropsychiatry and Sleep Fellowship program at Toronto Western Hospital - University Health Network, 2014-2017, followed by the completion of a 5-year Adult Neurology residency training program, 2017-2022, both at the University of Toronto.

Adult Neurology/ Neuropsychiatry/ Sleep Medicine

She has extensive experience in Sleep Medicine, looking after pediatric and adult population patients. She started her independent practice in Canada in 2022 with focus on pain and sleep medicine. She practices a holistic approach to medicine and patient well-being, focused on the connection between body, mind, and mood, believing that our dreams can be key to understanding and healing many neuropsychiatry issues.

Dr. Majestic Tam

My name is Majestic Tam and I am an otolaryngologist head and neck surgeon serving the GTA area. I have served patients in several prominent clinics including the Toronto Head and Neck Clinic, Sleep and Alertness Clinic, office of Dr. Abraham Crotin, Dr. Robert Miller and Thornhill Hearing and Balance Centre over the past 3 years. Furthermore, I have operating privileges at the Scarborough Health Network Hospitals. I am a native of Vancouver, British Columbia and completed my training in Florida. After practicing at the Mayo Clinic Health System I returned to Florida for further fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology, Microvascular reconstruction surgery. Toronto is my new home and I am committed to serving the community by providing comprehensive ear, nose and throat services to all patients. I look forward to taking care of your patients and having a successful working relationship with you.

Dr. Anna Chen

Dr. Chen joins Airway as a general psychiatry consultant. She completed Medical School at the University of Calgary and Psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. Chen is interested in the integration between mental and physical health, and provides one-time psychiatric consultations as needed as part of the interdisciplinary assessment process at Airway. If further mental health care is needed, recommendations will be made to the primary care provider.

Dr. Adit Margaliot

MD, FRCPC, Dip (EMG)

Neurology and Sleep Medicine

Dr. Margaliot has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from McMaster University in 1998 then completed residency in Neurology followed by a fellowship in Neuromuscular Disorders and Electrophysiology in 2004 at the University of Western Ontario (presently Western University). She did further training in Sleep Medicine, obtaining her designation in 2017. Her practice focus is sleep and general wellness.

Tony Wu

Tony is an orthopedic physiotherapist with additional training in dental and physiotherapy TMJ treatment, sleep medicine, and rheumatology. Since 2006, he owns and manages Markham’s most established private physiotherapy clinic (est. 1980’s). He has two degrees from the University of Toronto, in Physiotherapy and in Microbiology with Human Biology. He believes in honest, effective and professional treatment of patients, and has a solid reputation in the medical community for quality service. He has proudly treated patients from all walks of life and age ranges, including veterans, children, frontline workers, artists and athletes.

Dr. Samantha Bohay

DMD, C.DSM, D.ABDSM

It is her personal commitment to raise public awareness of Oral Appliance Therapy, a physician recommended and proven treatment for snoring and sleep apnea. Her goal is to improve the quality of lives of patients as well as their loved ones. Recognizing the significant positive impact that an oral appliance may provide to Obstructive Sleep Apnea, CPAP intolerant, and primary snoring sufferers, Dr. Bohay strives to educate and offer patients options in the treatment and management of these conditions. 

Outside of DSM, Dr. Bohay enjoys spending time with her husband, being cheerleader to her three teenage children, and hanging out with her three rescue dogs. She loves expressing her creative side through knitting and sewing, and volunteers her time at the high school level producing costumes for their theatre productions. She is an avid high-altitude climber, wildlife lover, and is obsessed with organization. Some call her “Martha”.

Dr. Bohay began practicing general dentistry in 2000 and has been treating obstructive sleep apnea and snoring patients for more than 10 years. She now exclusively practices dental sleep medicine (DSM).

Dr. Bohay is passionate about helping people improve their quality of life and has built a reputation based on uncompromising clinical excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and a warm, gentle demeanor. She is a lifelong student who has dedicated herself to an ongoing pursuit of professional education and development. Dr. Bohay has obtained Diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM). The ABDSM credential is widely recognized as the gold standard for excellence in DSM.

Dr. Virginia Lee

MSc (Neuro), DDS

Dr. Virginia Lee received her undergraduate and graduate degrees, including her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), from Western University. She has additional training in sleep apnea and TMD (temporomandibular disorders) and is passionate about helping these patients, especially after seeing how debilitating these conditions can be when not treated properly.

When she is not at the office with patients, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, volunteering in her community, working on art projects, hiking and playing outdoor sports.

She is also currently the Director of Eastern Canada for an international, not-for-profit organization (NGO).

Sahar Azimi

Sahar Azimi has studied Denturism at George Brown College and graduated on Dean’s Honour list in 2022. She then completed additional training on Sleep Apnea, Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) and Full-Arch Therapy (All-on-4) and is passionate in providing personalized dental appliances that are tailored for individual’s unique dental needs.

Sahar is dedicated in advancing her knowledge on denture technology and Sleep Apnea and will continue to offer the best treatment for her patients.

In her spare time, she loves to paint, bake, interior design and spend time with family and friends.

John Wong

John graduated from George Brown College in 2012 with an advanced diploma in Hearing Instrument Specialist Program. John has worked in various types of clinical settings including ENT clinics, private hearing centres and senior homes. He is also certified in cerumen (ear wax) management since 2015. As a member of AHIP, John maintains in good standing with his association. His main specialty include hearing testing for adults, dispensing and repairing hearing aids, making custom-made ear products, and counselling for hearing loss. John strives to find the best solution for his patients and is always up to date with the latest technology in hearing products and testing. Being a tri-lingual clinician, John is able to help his patients in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. With customer service as his priority, he creates a pressure free and casual environment so that patients can have a positive experience at their appointments.

Rinat Barook

Rinat Barook is the Administration Manager at the Airway Clinic. Rinat has been immersed in the sleep industry for the last 20 years, where she has gained extensive knowledge in sleep medicine, patient needs and staff leadership while at the same time understanding what it takes to create and manage a successful specialty medical facility. Rinat is highly motivated to bring her expertise to the Airway Clinic. Her goal, along with her team, is to enhance the patient experience and to work in partnership with our patients as they pursue their journey to improvement.
